Bundle Your Counterweight For Tractors
Tractors with front-end loaders need counterweight. Period. It’s a matter of your safety. Your owner’s manual should tell you how much weight you need.
In addition to safety, some 3-Point attachments benefit from extra weight to better engage the ground (like a Plugger Aerator), as a 3-Point Hitch doesn’t provide any downforce. Further yet, traction is a necessary part of efficient work, and part of the traction formula is weight to the rear tires.
If you use a GWT Fast Cat I or GWT Fast Cat II or SpeeCo E-Hitch Quick Hitch, we’ve created a weight bracket that holds six additional suitcase weights without blocking a rear attachment connection! We call it the Hitch Hanger and this bundle includes one pair of Hitch Hangers and six suitcase weights in either 41 or 70 lb each.

The Hitch Hanger is a weight bracket that attaches with a simple strap connection to your quick hitch, allowing you to hang three suitcase weights (41or 70 lb) off to the side, while still keeping the connection to your quick hitch and your three-point attachment.
How much counterweight do you need?
The answer to this is tractor specific, but your manual should indicate the recommended rear ballast or counterweight to balance against your front-end loader. This can be in the form of liquid ballast in you wheels, wheel weights, and the weight of the rear attachment itself. But often this is not enough weight to hit the manufacturer recommended total. Enter the hitch hanger, which provides a solution to gain that additional weight without increasing your footprint.
WhAT 3-PT ATTACHMENTS NEED MORE WEIGHT?
A 3-Pt Hitch does not product any down-pressure, so if you are running a ground engaging attachment you’re reliant upon the weight of that attachment for all of its digging power. This includes plows, discs, pluggers, aerators, tillers, and box-blades or graders. Some times the attachment will have a shelf for adding weight, but many do not. Using our Hitch Hangers is a great way to gain downward force for that attachment, providing better, faster results.

Important Note!
There is no need to over-tighten the nuts against the metal strap. Just tighten until snug, else you will bend the strap and possibly break the bolts.The Hitch Hangers will stay in place with simply a snug connection.

What is covered
Your GWT Factory Warranty covers issues stemming from the craftsmanship of the product, like broken welds, torn steel, or improper fit. Our tools are generally designed to be used in harsh environments, so normal wear-and-tear is not covered (things like lost paint or chipped paint, scratches, dents, or bent teeth).
We will repair or replace, at our discretion, your GWT product so long as it is covered under warranty.
What isn’t covered
Any shipping necessary for repair or replacement, as well as transportation costs are not covered under the factory warranty. Lost time and down time are not covered. Replacement parts are covered, but not labor costs.
If damage occurs from improper use (a use other than what the product is marketed for), the warranty is void. Damage caused to your tractor while using a GWT product will not be covered.
Your warranty is non-transferable, meaning it exists as long as you’re the owner and operator of the product.
