SnapStow Sizes & Specs
Tube Diameter (Inside)
The SnapStow has been designed in five nominal diameters to fit as many tractor loaders as possible. Each nominal size can be sized down or up to fit a range of tube sizes.
To find out which Snap Stow you need, measure the inside diameter of your loader’s torque tube and see where it fits in the ranges below. Then shop for those diameters of Nominal sizes.
Watch a video about the SnapStow and what to measure here.
| SnapStow Nominal Size (inches) | Torque Tube Inside Diameter Fit Range (inches) |
|---|---|
| 2 1/8 | 2 3/32 to 2 5/32 |
| 2 1/2 | 2 7/16 to 2 5/8 |
| 3 1/16 | 3 to 3 5/32 |
| 3 9/16 | 3 17/32 to 3 5/8 |
| 4 7/16 | 4 13/32 to 4 1/2 |
Tube Length
Now measure the length of your tube. The total length of your SnapStow components cannot exceed overall length of loader tube.
But it makes sense to us to fill up the tube as much as possible with useable storage.
| Nominal Size (in) | Tool Tray Length (in) | Extension Length (in) | Chain Rack Length (in) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 1/8 | 17 | N/A | N/A |
| 2 1/2 | 10 1/2 | 10 | 32 |
| 3 1/16 | 9 1/2 | 8 7/8 | 32 |
| 3 9/16 | 9 5/8 | 9 | 32 |
| 4 7/16 | 13 3/8 | 12 3/4 | 32 |

Tractor Tool Storage Solution
The GWT SnapStow is a tractor storage solution to make up for the lack of useable storage on a tractor (both cab and open stations). Think of the SnapStow as a mini tool box in the most secure location possible—the torque tube of your front-end loader.
The torque tube is the hollow tube that connects the left and right loader arm. It’s the perfect space to stow away tools and chain, and the SnapStow is the perfect way to securely keep those items organized, protected, and easy-to-reach.
Available Storage Options
The GWT SnapStow comes in two forms—The Tool Tray and the Chain Rack. You can put the SnapStow in from either or both sides of the loader. Why not maximize storage and fill up the whole tube with storage.
The Tool Tray
The Tool Tray is exactly what it sounds like. A half cylinder tray that holds anything you can fit. This comes in five diameters to fit an array of loaders. And each Tool Tray can be fitted with an extension tray, allowing you have the room in your loader.
Store everyday tools in your SnapStow Tool Tray like:
- Wrenches
- Extra Pins
- Work gloves
- Flash Light
- WD-40 / Lubricant
- Chain (folded)
- Strap (folded)
- Trailer Hitch Ball
- Water Bottle*
The storage tray is a combination of a metal frame and plastic sleeve except for the largest, 4 7/16″ size which is a full metal tray construction.
*We found that the 3 1/16″ Tool Tray was the smallest size we could fit a standard water bottle in.
The Chain Rack
The Chain Rack is a storage device that lets you wrap chain or strap around it, and stow it neatly into your loader tube. It will pull out in seconds and never get bunched up in the middle of the tube where you can’t reach.
The length and size of chain or strap you can fit depends on your loader.
The Chain Rack is available to fit four diameters of loader tube, and all but the smallest size also have red, rubber coated mid-hooks* to attach bungee cords to inside of stowed your chain or strap.
*Tractors like the JD 1025R with small diameter cross tubes may not be able to use the mid hooks and still allow room for a chain.
How it Works
If you have a front-end loader on your tractor, chances are you have a hollow tube connecting the left and right arms of the loader. We designed the SnapStow to utilize the dead space that you have with you all the time.
The SnapStow is a circular design in five diameters designed to fit a range of tractor loader’s securely. The sizes provided are nominal and adjustment can be made to size up the SnapStow if your loader doesn’t exactly match our listed diameter.*
Designed to quickly slide in and out of the tube and stow securely with a snap action latch, you won’t ever need to worry about this falling out of your loader. A simple push or pull on the plug’s knob lock and unlocks the SnapStow.
*Using a 5/32 hex key, rotate the internal screw 1/8 turn at a time (tighter or looser) then cycle the knob and check fit before adjusting further.
