GWT Fast Cat I QUICK HITCH
A Category I 3-Point Quick Hitch to make connecting attachments easier.
We don’t operate a tractor without a quick hitch because it only makes our lives easier. Most 3-Point attachments are quick hitch compatible, and even some that weren’t are being redesigned to fit (like the Del Morino Funny Top Flail Mower).
The GWT Fast Cat I will make connecting to a rear attachment so much easier. Sometimes you can hook up without leaving your seat.
If you’re shopping for a Category I Quick Hitch there is no reason to use one that doesn’t use a direct pin fitment. This means that the pins on your attachment will fit directly into the lower hook of the quick hitch.
Most quick hitches have an oversized lower hook that requires you to place a bushing over the attachment’s pin before slotting onto the quick hitch. This is an unnecessary cost and item to keep track of. GWT’s Fast Cat Quick Hitch doesn’t require a bushing.

GWT HITCH HANGERs
The Hitch Hanger is a weight bracket that attaches with a simple strap connection to your quick hitch, allowing you to hang up to six suitcase weights in total (41 or 70 lb), while still keeping the connection to your quick hitch and your 3-point attachment available.
HOW MUCH COUNTERWEIGHT DO YOU NEED?
The answer to this is tractor specific, but your manual might indicate the recommended rear ballast or counterweight to balance against your front-end loader. This can be in the form of liquid ballast in you wheels, wheel weights, and the weight of the rear attachment itself. But often this is not enough weight to hit the manufacturer recommended total.
Enter the hitch hanger, which provides a solution to gain that additional weight without increasing your footprint.
WHAT 3-PT ATTACHMENTS NEED MORE WEIGHT?
A 3-Pt Hitch does not produce any down-pressure (contrary to popular belief), so if you are running a ground engaging attachment you’re reliant upon the weight of that attachment for all of its digging power. This includes plows, discs, pluggers, aerators, tillers, and box-blades or graders.
Some attachments will have a shelf for adding weight, but many do not. Using our Hitch Hangers is a great way to gain downward force for that attachment, providing better, faster results.
WILL THESE FIT MY EXACT QUICK HITCH?
Quick Hitch geometries are not the same. Our Hitch Hangers have been specifically designed for three Category I quick hitches on the market: the GWT Fast Cat I, the Speeco Cat 1 E-Hitch and the John Deere iMatch.
We have also made Hitch Hangers for two Category 2 quick hitches: the GWT Fast Cat II and the Speeco Cat II Quick Hitch.
We prefer the GWT Fast Cats as they improve upon the already solid Speecos. We do not sell the John Deere iMatch.

Category I Measurements:

Important Note!
There is no need to over-tighten the nuts against the metal strap. Just tighten until snug, else you will bend the strap and possibly break the bolts.The Hitch Hangers will stay in place with simply a snug connection.

***ATTENTION!***
We’ve had a few customers with John Deere suitcase weights that either don’t slide down onto the rail because the steel is too thick or the horn of the weight is too wide and the nose hits the flat wall of the Hitch Hanger. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to this mystery and most aren’t affected.
Pictures in the listing to show these areas with dimensions. If you are using John Deere weights, please make sure they’ll fit.

Two dimensions to check:
- The rail is 1/2″ thick, so the slot on your weights needs to be slightly larger than this at minimum to slide over.
- The gap inside the Hitch Hanger is 2 3/8″ wide. So, measure from the end of the horn to the hanging slot. Your dimension needs to be smaller than 2 3/8″ wide.
