The Wessex WFE 3-Point Flail Mower come in three cutting widths, each manually offsets about 12 inches to mow along tree lines and fence lines. But you can upgrade to a hydraulic offset to adjust on the fly.
They all feature our favorite type of blade—heavy duty hammers. And they are slightly lighter, require less hp, and cost less than the WFM series found here.

What’s Not Covered
Damage caused by improper use or use outside the product’s intended purpose voids the warranty.
Cosmetic wear such as paint loss, scratches, dents, or bent teeth, as well as normal wear to common attachment components and consumables including cutting edges, shanks, tines, skid runners, skid shoes, blades, belts, bushings, bearings, oils, grease, and similar wear items is not covered under warranty.
Shipping or transportation costs, downtime, and labor are not covered.
Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original owner/operator.
Wessex 3-Point WFE Flail Mower Description
Control dense grass and vegetation, even small saplings with the Wessex WFE Flail Mower. The WFE series comes in three widths, connects to your tractor’s Category I or II 3-point hitch, or your Category I Quick Hitch. This is great news as very few flail mowers on the market are quick hitch compatible, and if you don’t know quick hitches making connecting to rear attachment way easier.
Compared to their WFM counterparts, the WFE series require less horsepower, are lighter, and cost less.
Heavy Duty Hammer Blades pulverize tough material, but will do a fine job cuting grass too. A full width adjustable rear roller maintains an even cutting height.
Three tailgate settings let you optimize the style of cutting you want to do:
- Close the tailgate all the way, and mulch your material
- Open it part way and eject your cuttings behind you
- Open it fully and move fast and free without worrying about anything than moving fast
One of the greatest advantages of a flail mower is that they often offset, so you can mow out past your tractor’s foot print. The WFE series all manually offset 12 inches, to mow along fencelines or anything you can’t or shouldn’t drive right up against.
A hydraulic upgrade is available to control your mower’s offset while you drive, right from the seat. If you have the hydraulic ports on your tractor, we strongly recommend this option so you can be way more efficient and keep mowing while adjusting to the needs of the land.
