Wheel Weights are a straightforward way to improve tractor safety and traction, without interfering with any attachments. Compact tractors simply don’t have enough rear weight when they ship from the factory to operate safely, especially if you have a front-end loader. You need to add counterweight on the rear of your tractor, and your manual will tell you how much you need. Wheel Weights should be just one portion of that ballast weight system. Liquid ballast in the tires and a weight rack are other common forms of ballast weight.

In addition to safety, wheel weights greatly increase traction on your rear tires, where all of your power comes from anyway.

Not all tractor wheels can accept weights. We have lists of compatibility below. We sell wheel weights in five unique increments that fit different makes and series of tractors. Weights are sold as pairs, as you should always operate a tractor with balanced wheels.

WHEEL WEIGHT Tractor compatibility

Weights given below are listed for a single weight, but wheel weights are sold by the pair (one for each wheel). Read your manual to see the recommended ballast weight for loader use.

Reference sizing chart in pictures for complete compatibility. Your specific wheel size may determine a different weight is needed.

John Deere Compact Tractors Wheel Weights

  • 55 lb Wheel Weight & Hardware: For John Deere 2025r, 2032r, 2038r, 3025e, 3032e, 3038e, 3025d, 3035d, and 3043d and other 16″, 16.5″, 17.5″ and 19.5″ wheels with a 4 hole pattern at 7.5″ spacing
  • 70 lb Wheel Weight & Hardware: For John Deere 1 Series (1023e, 1025r, 1026r) and other 26x12x12 rear tires. Not stackable.
  • 75 lb Wheel Weight & Hardware: For John Deere 3r Series including 3033r, 3039r, 3046r and older 3120, 3320, 3520, and 3720 tractors.
  • 105 lb Wheel Weight & Hardware: For John Deere 4m and 4r Series including 4044m, 4044r, 4052m, 4052r, 4066m, and 4066r. Older generations too.

Kubota Compact Tractors Wheel Weights

  • 55 lb Wheel Weight & Hardware: Fits wheels with 16″, 16.5″, 17.5″ and 19.5″ wheels with a 4 hole pattern at 7.5″ spacing
