Tractor Counterweight & Safety
If your 1025R has a loader, you need counterweight on the rear of your tractor, roughly equivalent to the lift capacity of your loader.
It is unsafe to operate a tractor without counterweight, and wheel weights are a straightforward way to get some of that weight without interfering with your 3-Point attachments.
The 1025R can add a 70 lb weight to each rear wheel, gaining you 140 lb of counterweight. This is just the beginning of your counterweight solution. Other solutions include adding liquid ballast to your rear tires, as well as hanging weight off your 3-Point hitch using a weight rack like our GWT VersaBracket that can hold up to 560 lb of suitcase weights.
COMPACT Tractor Wheel Weights
Every tractor needs extra weight to operate the front-end loader safely. Wheel weights are a good strategy to gain extra counter-weight without interfering with rear attachments.
All weights attach simply with bolt and nuts (all included), so installation is relatively easy. But like with most things, two people can help the process.
Our wheel weights are sold as pairs, as you should always operate a tractor with balanced wheels.
More Counterweight Options
We’ve made weight bundles that ship with our GWT VersaBracket (a weight bracket for your 3-Pt Hitch) to save you even more money.
Or check out our Ultimate Weight Bundle for cost effective shipping, too.
