I got this on closeout special. I was pleasantly surprised to find the top link adapter was included with the piece. The packaging was Excellent and in great shape for its size and weight.
When I opened it, the bushings (and extra bushings) were taped in cardboard boxes, one over each locking handle. One handle had been broken clean off prior to packaging. It had to have been, because the box was undamaged, and the tape was undamaged, having been taped up with the handle in place. The roll pin was bent and broken, so it either fell over, or something was dropped on it before it was packaged. The handle base tabs were bent a little, too, but I hammered them back into position. I used a small hitch pin to secure the handle until I can get a new roll pin. Kind of disappointing, but not the end of the world.
The only manufacturing defect was on one of the two lower pin cradles, where there are two pieces of flat stock welded to the main frame. One of the pieces was welded at an angle, making it impossible for the bushings to fully seat into that cradle and lock in. I’ll fix it with an angle grinder and some black spray paint.
I tested it on my Bad Boy 6′ Rotary Cutter, and my Bad Boy 6′ Box Blade, and it will hook up perfectly, after I fix the defect on the one bushing cradle.
Other than that, it seems solid, and will do what I bought it to do. I think it could have been checked over a little better before shipping and seems like I’m doing the work I’d be doing on a Harbor Freight special. I actually bought this Speeco INSTEAD of the Harbor Freight Quick Hitch, because I DIDN’T want to mess around and modify it or “fix” it.
Shipping was fast- ordered it on a Sunday night, and it arrived by Wednesday afternoon from Michigan to central NY.
If it weren’t for the QC, I’d give it a 5 star rating. It will work, though, even with 3 stars.

This is a very nice quick hitch for the money. I already have bushings on all of my implements, so when I bought a new tractor, I decided to buy this hitch to save some money. GWT shipped it quickly, I got it in a couple of days, and it’s a really high-quality piece. Very satisfied.
